War Child chosen as charity partner

The IFA is delighted to announce War Child as our charity partner for this year’s Worldnet and BigTamVets tournaments. The charity was chosen by Miles Jacobson, Studio Director at Sports Interactive, the creators of the Football Manager series of games and our headline sponsors for this year’s tournaments.

War Child is striving for a world where children’s lives are no longer torn apart by war. They aim to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children caught up in conflict – from supporting Syrian children to access education, to reintegrating child soldiers in the Central African Republic and promoting justice for young people in detention in Afghanistan.

“We’re thrilled that the Internet Football Association have chosen to support War Child UK through their 2018 Worldnet and BigTamVets Tournaments” said Ella McNab, Partnerships Manager at War Child UK. “Thank-you to all of the players coming together this weekend – your support makes a real difference to the lives of children living in war”

Details of how teams can donate to War Child have been shared with all team managers attending this weekend and the IFA looks forward to working with the charity in the future.
