We are all pleased to hear the recent government announcement and have stepped up plans for IFA football to resume from the beginning of April in-line with the government timetable.
However, due to the situation in Scotland, it has been decided that in the interests of fairness the IFA British League will be voided for the 2020/21 season and will resume for the 2021/22 season.
For the remainder of the 2020/21 season, the IFA English League will operate as planned with games already played counting towards the IFA English League. A provisional date for resumption of Friday 2nd April is subject to change based on government and any local government decisions.
The previously communicated Covid-19 guidelines will remain in place until we are satisfied that these are safe to be relaxed. The health, well-being and safety of all members of the IFA community remains paramount to us all.
Should the situation improve in Scotland, a decision will be made regarding the Scottish League by the IFA Committee in conjunction with the IFA Scotland representative.
The two remaining IFA Cup games from the 2019/20 season will take place before the end of June, with the final to take place on the eve of WorldNet on Friday 16th July at University of Nottingham.
We look forward to welcoming all teams back to the IFA fold, and should anyone have any questions please feel free to contact us directly or via our social media channels.
