For the first time, the Peter Fincham Shield for IFA Team of the Year heads to Scotland!
A new team to the IFA, Glasgow Piraten are followers of the German based St Pauli, and have epitomized everything what being an IFA team should all be about; Inclusive to all regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age or ability, and playing each and every game with a smile on their faces regardless of the results, and they should know, having lost all 20 of their league games this season!
However the result is always secondary, and what Glasgow Piraten have brought to the IFA over the past two years has been well received by their peers across the IFA community. They scored a perfect 5.00 average in our IFA Spirit ratings, based on feedback after every fixture, and we are extremely proud of their diverse and inclusive nature as a football team. It gives us all great delight to name them as our IFA Team of the Year for 2022.
We look forward to seeing them continue to flourish within our organisation and continue to promote the inclusive for all nature of their club.
