The draw for the Preliminary Round of the 2013/14 IFA Cup took place last night in the luxurious surroundings of South Mimms services on the M25.
A record field of 41 entries for next season meant that a large Preliminary Round was necessary, with 18 of those 41 teams entered into last night’s draw. Teams who didn’t enter the 2012/13 competition were automatically in the early draw, along with the teams who had played the fewest number of IFA League games this season.
The results of the draw were as follows:

Wrexham v Runcorn Linnets
Manchester City v Blackpool
Port Vale v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Grimsby Town v Hull City
St Johnstone v Troon
Kingstonian v AFC Wimbledon B
Millwall v Stevenage
Cambridge United v Crawley Town
Ties must be played by 28th September 2013.
The draw for the First Round proper will take place at WorldNET on Saturday 20th July, which will include the following teams:
North-West: Manchester United, Preston North End, Manchester City or Blackpool, Wrexham or Runcorn Linnets, Rochdale, Crewe Alexandra or AFC Chorley, Stockport County, FC Halifax Town
North-East: Grimsby Town or Hull City, Ayr United, Barnsley
