For the past five years the Internet Football Association have run a veterans tournament as part of their annual WorldNET tournaments. The vets tournament now operates independently of WorldNET but still adheres to the IFA ethos: “Internet football is not just about winning. It’s about taking part and building bridges between rival sets of supporters”
The Big Tam Vets 13 tournament (BTV13) will be on the 14/15/16 June 2013 at the University of Leeds’ Weetwood Playing Fields and will see up to 24 teams of over 35s playing firstly in a group and then in a knockout tournament.
The rules for the tournament allow for a number of under age players but generally the 15 minutes each way games follow a normal FA format for details see http://www.worldnetvets.org.uk
